With Every Breath

From the back of the book:
In the shadow of the nation's capital, Kate Livingston's respectable life as a government worker is disrupted by an encounter with the insufferable Trevor McDonough, the one man she'd hoped never to see again. A Harvard-trained physician, Trevor never showed the tiniest flicker of interest in Kate, and business is the only reason he has sought her out now.

Despite her misgivings, Kate agrees to Trevor's risky proposal to join him in his work to find a cure for tuberculosis. As Kate begins to unlock the mysteries of Trevor's past, his hidden depths fascinate her. However, a shadowy enemy lies in wait and Trevor's closely guarded secrets are darker than she ever suspected.

As revelations from the past threaten to destroy their careers, their dreams, and even their lives, Trevor and Kate find themselves in a painfully impossible situation. With everything to lose, they must find the strength to trust that hope and love can prevail over all.

What an amazing  story on trust and faith.   The author has done an impeccable job in her research and study on this story line.

In this story we are taken back to the turn of the century and introduced to the two main characters Kate and Trevor.  When we first meet them, they are true rivals in every sense.  From academics to who can out wit the other.  Later in Kate's life, after the death of her husband, she is given a promising job offer, but she has no idea that Trevor is the one offering the job.
The characters are easy to like and follow.   It is full of anticipation, real to life situations, romance and even mystery.    Very well written and hard to put down. I highly recommend this book.

In Good Company

From the Back Cover

After growing up as an orphan, Millie Longfellow is determined to become the best nanny the East Coast has ever seen. Unfortunately, her playfulness and enthusiasm aren't always well-received and she finds herself dismissed from yet another position.

Everett Mulberry has quite unexpectedly become guardian to three children that scare off every nanny he hires. About to depart for Newport, Rhode Island, for the summer, he's desperate for competent childcare.

At wit's end with both Millie and Everett, the employment agency gives them one last chance--with each other. As Millie falls in love with her mischievous charges, Everett focuses on achieving the coveted societal status of the upper echelons. But as he investigates the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the children's parents, will it take the loss of those he loves to learn whose company he truly wants for the rest of his life?

In this novel we we are taken back to a time the 1860's where social classes meant everything, and it was hard to rise above where one's lot in life is.

We are  introduced to Millie, a nanny with some very interesting ways to deal with the children of her employers.    Hard to keep a job it seems Then  she comes into contact with Everette Mulberry.  Everette has just inherited custody of his 3 charming God children, and is in desperate need of a nanny.

This novel has a numerous story line with romance  matchmaking and even a little mystery to it.    With a little twist of  Pride and Prejudice, it is  such an enjoyable read, and highly recommended.

I received this book as part of the In Good Company  blog tour from Radiant Lit.  I received no compensation for this review and only received a copy of the book for review purposes.

No Reserves, No Retreats.No Regrets

This is the life story of  Ed Erny and how
God took that doubt away when a young man gave his heart to the Lord after he told him about Jesus. From that moment on, Ed and his family went to serve  in Taiwan, the Philippines,   He saw the Lord working and this book was written to give the same hope and desire to other missionary minded people.

This is an inspiring story, and I do recommend this book to read for anyone who is wondering what God wants them to do.
