NKJV, Apply the Word Study Bible, Hardcover, Red Letter Edition

NKJV, Apply the Word Study Bible, eBook: Live in His Steps

I had the opportunity to review the e-version of this Bible.  I love to study God's Word, and I accepted the opportunity to review this Bible when I was studying out a Bible study.   I will be the first to admit that I prefer print to e-versions, but I wanted this to help me with my study and the e-version was the only one available.

The e-version was easy to navigate and had links to the special notes that were included in the study Bible

There are study maps available, and concordance.  It was a very helpful tool for me to study out for my Bible study.

This would be a great tool for those who don't want to carry around a print copy, it can be transported to Church or Bible studies easily and always on hand.   I still prefer the printed copy, but I am pleased with this e-version.

A Woman Who Doesn't Quit 6 Session Bible Study

A Woman Who Doesn't Quit - Bible Study Book

Hopefully, you have seen my review on the book "A Woman Who Doesn't Quit" This is the follow along 6 session study.

From the back of the book:

Every Woman eventually faces the decision whether or not to give up, but there's something special that happens when a woman decides to persevere in the face of problems or pain.  A woman who refuses to quit influences her world in ways she could have never dreamed or imagine.

I love the book of Ruth.  There is so much you can glean from it... ( no pun intended).  I enjoyed  the book, and I recommend that you use both these tools, along with the videos that are available you will  have a great study that many women will learn from.

Benefits:
  • Learn to follow through on your commitments despite your feelings
  • Create space for the movement of God and release control to Him
  • Embrace the grace of refinement rather than the relief of release
  • Invest in the world with joy
  • Cultivate an unbreakable spirit
  • Persevere through life’s most difficult moments
  • Refuse to give up on your heart’s deepest desires

The James Code

The James Code is an exceptional book written by O.S. Hawkins.  The author has done a wonderful job at presenting the book of James.  It is easy to read, written in a devotional style of writing, and you can see the need to put our faith into action.   I enjoyed studying the book of James, and once you read this book, you will fully understand what the (half) brother of Christ was trying to get across to his readers.   The book of James is so full of information for us, and this book really does help us put it into action.

Each chapter has an explanation of  a selection of verses, such as chapter 13 deals with  true faith in our lives showing consistency  James 1:19-25.  The author explains the verses.  Here the author tells us to be consistent in our talk and our walk.  At the end of each chapter, there is a Just Do It!  That I love, the author is teaching us how to apply these verses and live out our faith!

Not only is the book helpful in our daily walk, but it  has a nice sturdy faux leather cover, it is a size that is handy to take with you wherever you go.   This would make a great gift, and it could be used as a Bible study tool.

Well done and highly recommended.

5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn't Quit

5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn't Quit will take you through a journey, an inward look into your life to find out why we just keep on calling it quits.   In this book, the author helps you to take a look at your life and wonder why is it I can't take things to completion.

The author uses humor, life stories to help teach us how to become a woman who does not quit.  She uses the story of Ruth interwoven throughout life's circumstances to help teach us, Biblically how we should learn not to be quitters.  In all reality, we were not made by God to be a quitter, but a finisher.   I like the quit quitting verses she has given the reader to memorize in the back of the book.  A brilliant idea, and something we all can use.

This is an eye-opening book, that even if we aren't prone to quitting, or have a habit of quitting, it is a good book for all of us women to read.

I can see this book being read independently, or it would make a great study for women to do.

Risen

From the back of the book:  Epic in scope, yet deeply personal, this novelization offers a unique perspective on the story of the resurrection. Roman Tribune Clavius is assigned by Pilate to keep the radical followers of the recently executed Yeshua from stealing the body and inciting revolution. When the body goes missing despite his precautions, Clavius must hunt it down.

His investigation leads him from the halls of Herod Antipas to the Garden of Gethsemane and brings him in touch with believer and doubter alike. But as the body still remains missing, Clavius commits to a quest for the truth--and answers that will not only shake his life but echo throughout all of history.

Angela Hunt is known for her novels where she takes truths from the Bible and turns them into novels.  In her latest book, that was released just in time for Easter, is Risen.   The novel based on the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus in the eyes of a Roman Tribune.

This is a very interesting novel, that I am sure Angela Hunt's followers will love.   One thing we must remember is, that this is a fictional book based on a truth.  Ms. Hunt is great at doing her research and making us really think about these truths from the Bible.

God's Not Dead 2

Welcome back to Hope Springs . . . where Christian Grace Wesley teaches high school history. She is on the hot seat with the school district after she answers Brooke Thawley’s question about Jesus during a classroom discussion. Suddenly, Brooke becomes a pawn in an epic court case that could cost Grace the career she loves.

Tom Endler, a lawyer with the teachers’ union, is tapped to reluctantly represent Grace in her fight for her First Amendment rights. He finds himself fighting for a cause he doesn’t even believe in. Tom’s research leads him to Amy Ryan, a reporter and former skeptic who found faith while battling cancer and watching the classroom battle unfold at Hadleigh University a year ago. Both are soon on a journey to understand what genuine faith really means as they fight to save Grace’s job and avoid a court decision that could cripple the free speech rights of all Christians in the marketplace.
Based on the highly anticipated movie sequel, this novel tells more about the story behind the new blockbuster film and gives fans an update on favorite characters from the original film.

I will be honest, I did not see God's Not Dead, or see the movie.  Frankly, I won't have time to see the new movie God's Not Dead 2.   But I would love to!

I have read the book by Travis Thrasher, God's Not Dead 2.  It is wonderful.   This story is interwoven with  the lives of Grace Wesley, her lawyer Tom Endler, Amy Ryan, a reporter and former skeptic who found faith while battling cancer.

It all begins after Brook e has a private conversation with her teacher about faith.   Later on in school during a history lesson, Brooke opens up another question which leads to teacher Grace Wesley answering and reciting scripture.  It wasn't minutes later when the principal comes in and Ms. Wesley is suspended and begins the fight for her job and standing up for her rights as a Christian.

This is an amazing book about standing up for our rights as Christians.
