This handbook would be a great tool for the student ,
teacher or a person doing a serious study of the Bible.
While I think that Josh McDowell is a great apologist, this
handbook leaves me a bit disappointed.
He handles a lot of the difficult verses really well, but I do disagree on a few points that he
makes. One is with the head covering
issue, and the issue of women teaching in the church is another. I do like how he deals with the submission
in Ephesians chapter 5.
I would certainly recommend that you use this book along with any other commentaries out
there while doing your studies. It is
always good to have more than one opinion, and then pray to find the meaning
yourself.
