My Thoughts: This is a great suspense novel that keeps the reader interested and reading until the very end. Aptly titled, the main character Jade has to remove some of the "frost" and bitterness from her life in order to move forward. Unfortunately what Jade is trying to forget is not so uncommon these days and it is something the reader must ponder as they read. How would the reader react in a similar situation?
A wonderful read, it is fast-paced and hard to put down. A definite must-read! I look forward to more reading from Alana Terry.

While my childhood was spent in the lower 48 states, my husband and I moved to Alaska and this beautiful state has now become the place I call home. Even though adjusting to rural living (we moved to a town with only 400 residents) took some getting used to, I have grown to love everything about Alaska. MyThoughts: I truly adored this series! Pamela Poole not only creates with mixed media but with words, to present the reader a storyline that they can truly become a part of. I felt so welcome in this family and it's how the characters are presented. A warm loving God-centered family who raise their children to love God first; then love their family and keep them close. I enjoyed the way the author brought us to Whitehaven in the 1960s to learn more about how Phillip, Andy, and Wyeth grew up and met their spouses. The ending was incredible and brings the whole series together; giving some answers to questions the readers may have in the previous books. This novel can stand alone to be read, it can be read first if you like, or you can read the series in sequence. Whichever way you chose to read it, the important thing is to read it.

This is a book that is based on Christian values in many different situations. It is a must-read. I look forward to reading more from Pamela Poole.

My Thoughts: This is a great encouragement to keep in God's word every day. By reading the scriptures; two chapters a day and then reading the devotional that helps to explain what the reader has read. It's easy and informative and will get the reader through the Bible in a year.

This will certainly be helpful to keep the reader on a Bible reading schedule. The readings are easy to read and informative. It is helpful that the readings are in chronological order, it gives an idea of the timeline of the Bible. This is a wonderful and unique way to read through the Bible in a year!

My Thoughts: This is a truly entertaining novel. It's genuinely fun and engaging. The author has done a marvelous job of bringing the past and future together to make a charming and humorous storyline. The characters are well developed and easy to relate to. Claire is a down to earth young woman trying to make a living writing historical novels; just an average girl whose life is changed forever one night when she puts on her grandmother's shawl. This novel was hard to put down, the plot is fast-paced and keeps the reader entertained.

A historical novel is full of humor and suspense with many twists in the plot that will keep the reader wondering what will happen next. A truly enjoyable read and highly recommended.

I wanted to write a Regency time travel for years. When I saw the movie “Kate and Leopold” I thought, Oh no! Someone used my idea! But I needn’t have worried. Leopold (Hugh Jackman) was a Victorian gentleman, not a Regencian. Secondly, though I enjoyed the flick, I kept thinking it missed many opportunities for humor. (Having written a screenplay since then, I now realize why it missed so many: tight scripts just don’t have room for all the scenes that could be fun.) When I wrote my story, however, I was able to include a lot of the humor scenes that had been floating around in my head for eons. It’s one of the reasons the book is a lot of fun to read—particularly when the Regency hero appears in the present. On a side note, I started this book and then dropped it—for years—mostly because I wanted to write it as Christian romance like my other Regencies. But I kept running into roadblocks. And Christian publishers weren’t interested. Finally I realized I had to let God out of MY box and write the story he was giving me, not the one I thought he should give me. After that, it came together remarkably easily and quickly. And, I think, in a very fun way. I might even do a sequel.

Letters from Jesus: Studies from the Seven Churches of Revelation explores Christ’s warnings to the seven most prominent churches in Asia Minor in the book of Revelation. These letters date back to 95 A.D., but they help us make a fascinating discovery about civilization: life hasn’t changed that much over the last two millennia. Author Chris Palmer illustrates the truths contained in the Letters from Jesus using modern, everyday day examples. The host of the popular podcast Greek for the Week, he unpacks Greek words and phrases in these verses from Revelation with humor, joy, and biblical scholarship.

Why study Greek, even just a little bit? As Chris explains, looking at the New Testament in the original language in which it was written can offer us some beautiful insights into God’s Word. “It’s like reading the Bible in high definition,” he says. Also, “studying God’s Word in the original language forces us to approach it with reverence and awe, humbling ourselves to obey what it says, whether it’s something we want to hear or not.”

My Thoughts: For those looking for a study on Revelations, this is the study that you need to look into doing. The author Chris Palmer has taken a difficult book, one that many teachers don't teach on today. The author takes the complexity out of the original language which makes it easier to understand. I did find it interesting when the author is telling his readers that the "The USA has numerous cities that share names with the seven churches: Ephesus, Georgia; Smyrna (Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee); Thyatira, Mississippi; Sardis (Georgia, Mississippi, and Ohio); and Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, Illinois,Indiana, Mississippi, New York, and Tennessee). There is also a city named Patmos in Arkansas. However, there are no cities in the USA named after Pergamum or Laodicea."

Not to worry, this is a great study for all those who are looking to study the book of Revelation. The author makes the original language simple and easy to understand. This is a study that the reader will dig into and want to learn more about God's word. This is a very interesting study that all will enjoy.

What do you think of when you hear the name Hagar? Who was Hagar? When I was invited to do a book launch on the Bible study of Hagar, I was intrigued. This is one that I really wanted to do.

We all know that Hagar was a servant given to Sarah, the famous one that gave birth to Abraham’s first son Ishmael.

This study aptly named “The God Who Sees You”, is exactly what the study is about, God sees who we are and what we need. As you go through this study you will feel that God loves you for who you are, exactly where you are at this moment. You will see that He is with you, just as He was with Hagar during her flight into the desert.

This is a study that truly gets you into the word, one that makes you think.

Shadia Hrichi really gets into the scriptures and helps us as readers get into the scripture with her. After reading this, you will see Hagar from a deeper, different viewpoint, and discover that our God is the God Who Sees You, as well.

I did this study alone, but it would make a great study for a women’s group, one that I highly recommend.
