My Thoughts: Who doesn't like a good story with princes and a want to be princess. Author Rachel Hauck does not disappoint her readers in this novel. This storyline is full of twists and turns that really captivate the reader. This charming love story of Prince Gus and Daffodil " Daffy Caron is a modern fairy tale that satisfies our hearts. This is a wonderful beginning to a new series "The True Blue Royal". This is a book about healing, forgiveness, and not hiding secrets. Rachel Hauck has a way of reaching her readers and creating a story that not only entertains but teaches us about forgiveness and letting go of the past. I love the way she incorporates God into the book, with Emanual, and how He had everything planned from the very beginning. This is certainly a must-read.

Hello Royal Rockstar Readers!

I’m thrilled to share To Love A Prince with you. So many of you who loved the Royal Wedding Series have asked for more royals so as I noodled over new story ideas, my thoughts drifted toward princes and princesses. What’s more romantic than a royal wedding?

This royal story, the first book in a new series, True Blue Royal, is set in a new fictional country, Lauchtenland, in the North Sea. I’m really squeezing all those oil wells currently occupying that body of water.

The beauty of royal stories is they remind us of who we really are: princes and princesses. There is always a point in the story where the royal character, as well as the commoner, must come to grips with his and her true identity! Who God says we are!

Stories are a powerful reflection of life and it’s fun to insert ourselves into the tale. While fiction employs a lot of hyperbole we can find ourselves on the page somewhere, somehow.

My Thoughts: This is a wonderful story of a young woman's struggle during the depression era. This is a wonderful story of faith and courage. This story gives the reader a good idea of what was like during this period of time; the hardships, what people had to give up in order to survive. This is a story of faith during a time when people were losing faith

Readers will enjoy the characters. Ms. Vogel has done an amazing job with this novel and her readers will not be disappointed.

My Thoughts: This is a superb book that deals with issues women need to know today. The author has experience with the issues that face women today, and in her book, she helps women understand the Biblical guidelines for a happy life. Women today are confused as Satan beats at them with worldly views and misconceptions. This is a must-read book for any woman young or old. It is refreshing to see and read a book that has values that I can agree with 100%. We need to combat the feminism movement and set women free from the lies that surround them.

My Thoughts: This story of Lacey and Jay, two college students brought together by God. This is a compelling story of forgiveness, of the grace that God gives us. It's a story about broken lives made whole again. It's about letting our past go and focusing on the future. This is a novel that everyone should read. It has such a good lesson to be learned. The author has done an amazing job of bringing out the truths in this story. The characters are very believable and real. The plot is one that keeps the reader entertained until the very end of the novel. Well written and easy to follow.

I’d had the beginnings of the story that is When Hearts Collide, in my mind for many years after I graduated high school. There are a number of personal experiences both from high school and after, which have influenced this story. Attending a memorial service for a fellow high school student who died in a car accident heavily influenced the early drafts of my novel; however, over time the accident itself, and the surrounding circumstances morphed into something else entirely.

The more books I read, no matter the genre, the more I am drawn to authentic, broken characters, who long for (and hopefully achieve) a second chance – both in love and in life. This is the essence of When Hearts Collide. Both Lacey and Jay long for a second chance in many aspects of their lives.

One of the key components in my writing and storytelling is creating authentic characters who experience real life challenges while embarking on a journey of faith.

I hope you truly enjoy this story of romance, faith, forgiveness, and second chances.

My Thoughts: Another great book in the "True Color" series. In this novel, we meet Pinkerton Detective Annie Walters aka Annie Von Wettin, the great-granddaughter to Queen Victoria. No one knows of her relationship with the queen in Austin Texas. This is a great mystery with a mix of romance. The storyline is intriguing, some twists that keep the reader glued to the book. This is a novel that the reader will not be able to put down. For anyone who loves history, this is definitely a book to read. The whole series is good and worth a mention to look at. Each book stands on its own and is all very engaging and intriguing to read. Author Kathleen Y'Barbo has done an excellent job at writing a novel mixed with true facts about Jack the Ripper.

I am a tenth generation Texan, but London has held a place in my heart for over ten years. You see, I have a son who has lived there for more than a decade. Thanks to him and his family of three—my granddaughter was born there on New Year’s Eve 2019—the city will always be special to me. There is absolutely nothing like walking those streets with a thousand years of history close enough to touch.
It was on a walk with my son through this great city that the stories of nineteenth century London came alive. With fog shrouding the rooftops of buildings that were hundreds of years old and our footsteps echoing on the cobblestones, I could imagine a time when lack of electricity and CCTV would make this place less than charming on a dark night. What reminded me of my favorite childhood movie, Mary Poppins, quickly became more reminiscent of Jack the Ripper. And then a story was born.
Only I just had half the story.
The other half came to me several years later when I stumbled across an article in Texas Monthly magazine about a serial killer who rampaged through Austin, Texas in 1884 and 1885 and was never caught. Some surmised this madman, called “The Midnight Assassin” by some, might have been Jack the Ripper honing his skills before he crossed the Atlantic to begin his famous crime spree in Great Britain.
But Austin? Ironically, my other two sons lived in Austin. So while part of my heart was in London, two more parts of that same heart resided in the Texas capital. I thought I knew Austin inside out. Between one of my sons getting not one but two degrees from the University of Texas (this Aggie grad is still proud of him in spite of what I jokingly call his burnt orange rebellion) and my other son living there and managing a restaurant at the time (and who just graduated from Texas A&M Galveston last month!), I had spent many years in the city. And yet I had never heard of the Midnight Assassin.
Research turned up a tale that sounds so close to fiction I had to write about it. Discovering the theory that the Austin killer might also be the Ripper just added to my interest—neither had been caught. And I like to write about Pinkerton detectives.
From there the story unfolded. If you’ve read any of my historical romances, you know that I love incorporating actual history into my stories. As you’ll see when you read The Black Midnight, this book is no exception. While I will continue writing the historical romances I love to bring to you, I will confess that writing this book has me itching to research another one like it.
What’s next in my foray into true crime novels? Maybe Houston. You see, I have a daughter who lives there…
